Yep, this time I will explain about one of the typical food in sumatra. So, for this time we will travel to South Sumatra, more precisely to the regions of Palembang. In this region there is one food that is very well known and liked by family and even tourists who come. That food is pempek.
Pempek is a food made of sago and fish. Presentation was quite with noodles, cucumber and sauce. Cuko, pempek sauce is very typical. Cuko made from boiled water, then add brown sugar, shrimp, dried shrimp and crushed chili, garlic, and salt. For the indigenous people of Palembang, cuko than once made spicy to increase appetite. But with the entry of migrants from outside the island of Sumatra is now commonly found cuko with a sweet taste for those who do not like spicy.
Pempek lot of kinds, but the most famous or popular is pempek submarine. Pempek submarines are chicken eggs wrapped in dough pempek. When you come to Palembang, will not be difficult to find a store that sells this pempek. Because pempek could very easily be found throughout the city of Palembang.
