Actually a lot of Indonesian food is spicies peanuts. Although both seasoned nuts, but it taste different. It's hard for me to explain here, you should try it, just to know the difference in taste.
anyway, I will discuss one of the few Indonesian food spiced nuts. Food was named ketoprak, and is a typical food Batavia or Jakarta area. What makes this different foods are vegetables that are still in a state of fresh or raw. And use ketupat or rice cake materials as a substitute for rice.
The contents of ketoprak is, pieces of rice cake, pieces of fried tofu, bean sprouts, vermicelli noodles are then doused with peanut sauce was a little soy sauce. Do not forget, given the krupuk on top.
Intrigued by the taste, taste it as you come into Indonesia, especially when in Jakarta.
note:
lontong: food consisting of rice steamed in a banana leaf.
ketupat: rice cake boiled in a rhombus-shaped packet of plaited young coconut leaves.
